Azhar Mehmood had a wonderful county season in 2011 and then he was selected for Kent to play in the t20 league as well. In the same year, Razzaq was making his first appearance in the league as well for Leicestershire.
The two Pakistani players faced each other in a game and as Azhar were already in a blistering form with the bat; Razzaq fell under pressure against him. Azhar already had gone past his fifty and as Razzaq was bowling the 19th over he knew Azhar will try to hit him on every ball.
In this pressure, Razzaq bowled his first ball down the leg side. It was a slow ball that did not go well. Azhar just helped it on its way towards the deep fine leg fence. The fine leg fielder was asked to come inside by Razzaq so there was no one present in the deep to stop the ball.
The second ball was a bit fuller on the offside and this time, Azhar just picked it up over long off for the first maximum of the over. It was a beautiful shot from Azhar. It was right up there and he just screamed it to list another six for himself.
Razzaq did not alter his length but line. The next ball was pretty straight and this time, Azhar hammered it straight over the head of Razzaq and the ball landed on the rooftop. It was merely a short arm jab but the way Azhar played this shot was absolutely amazing and worth watching. It was a monstrous hit and the way it looked Azhar put any power in it. Razzaq then altered everything and did not concede any other boundary.
